Turning Opportunity Into Legacy
I grew up chasing this dream with a ball at my feet, but I know I wouldn’t be here today without the people who poured into me. Coaches, teachers, mentors, they gave me more than soccer. They gave me guidance, belief, and the tools to build a life.
That’s why this foundation matters to me. The BTB Legacy Foundation is my way of paying forward what I was given. It’s about making sure kids, whether through the game or through literacy, get the same opportunities to grow, learn, and thrive.
A Note From Chris
Books changed my life. Not just because I wrote one (Bet on Yourself), but because reading has always been a lifeline for me. It shaped how I think, how I lead, and how I’ve pushed through challenges in my career and my life.
The truth is, if you can read, you can learn anything. Reading opens doors that would otherwise stay locked. Without literacy, those doors never even appear.

This is a crisis. And it’s one I can’t ignore. That’s why I committed 100% of the proceeds from Bet on Yourself to literacy initiatives. We partner with organizations that are on the front lines of this fight, working to ensure every child has the chance to open a book and see their world expand.
In Bet on Yourself, I share my journey from being an overlooked kid with big dreams to becoming a professional soccer player at the highest level. It’s about resilience, sacrifice, and believing in yourself when no one else will. More than just a sports story, it’s a playbook for anyone who’s ever felt like an underdog, reminding you that with discipline, faith, and perseverance, you can create your own path forward.

While literacy is a cornerstone, soccer is where this mission began.
Through our Path 2 Pro program, we’ve built a model where youth clubs benefit directly. Every time a player signs up using their club’s personal code, 10% of their purchase is donated back to that club’s youth foundation through the BTB Legacy Foundation.
That means when a player invests in their own future, they’re also helping strengthen the very community they came from.
